As an OBIEE developer you should have the experience working during these phases – design, development, testing and implementation. Sometimes there is participation in requirements gathering phase but more chances are to work in the refining these requirements. The general OBIEE project life cycle is explained below:

Initiation or Inception Phase: This phase includes business case creation, project planning and also feasibility study.

Elaboration or Planning Phase: This phase includes resource planning. It also includes requirement gathering and analysis.

Execution or Development Phase: It is involved with design and development. This phase is used most by the OBIEE developer.

Closure Phase: This phase is also called as transition phase. It includes operations, deployment and maintenance.

The normal Software Development Lifecycle or SDLC is also very similar to these phases explained above. SDLC includes – System study, System Design phase, Software development and System implementation.

System design phase is called as ‘how’ phase, which determines how to implement the system study with solutions. It also involved with Input and output requirements like output media, hard copy, soft copy, databases, keyboard, mouse, monitors etc. It also deals with storage requirements, system controls, backup and system specifications.

Software development phases deals with the building software programs according with the given design specifications.

Software implementation at first deals with Alpha testing and Beta testing. After successful testing the new software is installed. But the old system was not uninstalled. These two run simultaneously. Then the training should be given to the employee. After proper installation, you need to maintain the software in a regular basis.

To know more on the above topic you need a proper OBIEE training. OBIEE online training is more flexible than the normal OBIEE classroom training. We also provide OBIEE online training. To know more about our course curriculum contact us.
